Hello and welcome to Leaving the Harbour!

Hi, I’m Ruth, I’m the designer, stamper and maker behind Leaving the Harbour which I run from my home at the foot of the beautiful Malvern Hills in the UK. I hope that you will enjoy browsing through my jewellery and find something you love to make your special day super special! I sell jewellery in sterling silver, 14K gold filled and 14K rose gold filled (gold filled jewellery means that the gold content is 100 times thicker than gold plated jewellery without paying the price for solid gold). Whether it be that special piece for the bride or a matching set for your wedding party I can help you add extra sparkle to the big day.

Your Leaving the Harbour jewellery will arrive beautifully packaged in a branded Leaving the Harbour jewellery box, wrapped in tissue paper and sealed with a Leaving the Harbour wax seal. A complimentary polishing cloth is included with every order.

I am committed to reducing the impact of my little business on the environment as much as possible. The cardboard and tissue paper I use is all recyclable and even the bag your complimentary polishing cloth arrives in is made from a renewable plant based resin film which makes it compostable.

Shipping Policy

Leaving the Harbour is currently taking a little break. Any orders placed after January 25th will be shipped from February 5th

 

Shipping Costs:

  • UK Orders are sent Free of charge

  • International Postage is £10.00

 UK Orders:

All UK orders will receive free postage!

All UK are sent free of charge by the Royal Mails 1st Class service which should arrive within 2-3 working days from dispatch. If you have placed a large order it will be sent via the Royal Mail 1st Class signed for service. There can however be delays to delivery times which are beyond my control particularly at busy times of the year or during the current pandemic. If you require something by a particular date, please do leave plenty of time.

Order Dispatch:

Because the majority of items are made to order please allow 5-7 working days to dispatch your order. I will send it out sooner if we possibly can. If you require something by a particular date please email [email protected]  and I will see if I can get it sent sooner for you.

Packaging:

All orders will be sent in a Leaving the Harbour jewellery box wrapped in tissue paper sealed with a wax seal. Because many customers send my jewellery as a gift I do not include a paper receipt with your purchase.

Return Policy

I have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. 

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

To start a return, please contact [email protected]  If your return is accepted, I'll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues 
Please inspect your order when it arrives, and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions/non-returnable items
Please note that I am unable to offer a refund on the following items:

  • Earrings (for hygiene reasons)
  • Personalised orders

Unfortunately, I cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges 
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


Refunds 
I will notify you once I’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Please note that unless the item is damaged or faulty you will be responsible for the return postage costs.
