On the 8th of May 2017, a whole bunch of the best British, local wedding suppliers collaborated and organised a photo shoot at Swillington Organic Farm in Leeds, Yorkshire – tailored to suit the rustic, woodland, natural and organic theme.
The location was set on one of their many acres of greenery inside a humungous tent supplied by Totally Tipi – perfect for an actual wedding! The tipi can easily hold everything and everyone you desire plus you have the freedom to include all sorts of decorative features, make it your own!
Swillington Organic Farm would be a great wedding venue as you are surrounded by the green, organic farmlands and have a secret hideaway for the bride and groom to spend some quality time together or it is a gorgeous spot for some wedding photography, perfectly tranquil and hidden. The tent held all of the glorious furnishings, consisting of wooden dining tables, wooden rustic tree stumps, hanging floral features and a wonderful entrance walkway.
The shoot focused on Claire Amelia’s gorgeous multiway bridesmaids dresses and some designer vintage gowns that she stocks in her store, The Bridal Emporium in Leeds Centre. The gowns were specifically chosen due to their gorgeous luxurious appearance, but with the ability to transform them in to naturalistic, outdoorsy fashionable dresses perfect for any bride that has that certain vintage style or wants a rustic themed wedding.
Hair and make-up was kept very natural and simple in keep with the theme. The different hair styles, up, down and braided meant that diversity was kept consistent throughout the models. Accessories taken from The Bridal Emporium were then added later to complete the outdoorsy, bohemian vibe. Both hair and make-up were supplied by the very talented girls at Catherine Elizabeth Hair and Make-up Artistry.
The photography for this shoot was captured by Patrick Phillips of PJ Phillips Photography – we couldn’t have asked for a more experienced, talented photographer! Him and his newly wed Patricia, arrived and she was asked to model a couple of the dresses.
The mood of the shoot was to designed to keep everything neutral and old-fashioned with the focus mainly on the dresses and props. The foliage and rustic nature of the farm paired perfectly with the style of the dresses, the flowers, provided by The Flower Shop Ossett, the bright greens and the subtle pinks, whites and purple bonded as a beautiful bouquet.
The gorgeous hand-made stationary was supplied by Gray Starling Designs, standing strong against our woodland backdrop, the calligraphy was a delicate scroll which worked well for our rustic theme. All of the elements just went hand in hand which made the day a complete success!
The whole shoot was very inspirational, whimsical and completely screamed outdoor, rustic wedding! All of the local suppliers really pushed the boat out and supplied the best quality products which really boosted the shoots visual impact. All-in-all it was a fabulous day full of fun, laughter and lots of wedding goodness.
Thank you to all of the amazing local wedding suppliers who collaborated with The Bridal Emporium and Claire Amelia: British Designer in order to create this gorgeous woodland wedding setting – perfect for those couples who love the outdoors!
