Choosing the perfect Honeymoon destination can be difficult especially with so much choice, and so many honeymoon styles, do you want to relax or do you want to explore? Or both? Listed below are a few 2017 favourites to help you decide. Part one looking at The Middle East, South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Far East. Part Two coming soon with the Caribbean, Europe and USA.

Middle East

The Middle East consists of Eygypt, Iran, Turkey, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Jordan, Palestine, Lebanon, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Armenia, Bahrain. But the top honeymoon destinations within the Middle East for 2017 are Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Oman and Ras al khaimah.  Visit The Emirate Palace Abu Dhabi for your own private beach and Marina. Ras Al Khaimah has pristine beaches fringed by the dramatic Hajar Mountains, perfect for your honeymoon. Eventhough the Middle East is not somewhere typically associated with wedding and honeymoons. Dubai is becoming increasingly popular with newly-weds. The Mintel report Wedding and Honeymoon Tourism – International declares “Dubai offers year-round sunshine with a combination of activities and relaxation to suit near enough everybody. It is the perfect destination to enjoy a mixture of luxury, adventure and culture. Explore the giant shopping malls, stargaze in the desert and visit some of the traditional souks to make the most of the diversity that Dubai has to offer.”

Indian Ocean (For the romantics)

The 2011 World Travel Awards crowned the Maldives as the ‘World’s Leading Romantic Destination’ for a second year in a row. For privacy on your honeymoon, the Maldives is perfect. Honeymoon like the royal couple. Surreal beauty, the tropical climate and welcoming people provide a unique backdrop for the dream romantic experiences. The wildlife should not go a miss along with special adventures on this honeymoon. Seychelles has been titled ‘the islands of love’.  Take in the sultry sunsets while laying back and watching the sun go down, Seychelles has the perfect setting to celebrate love.

Mauritius is the current ‘World’s Leading Island Destination’ at the prestigious World Travel Awards, retaining the title for a third year. “The paradise island of Mauritius is among the top places to honeymoon with its stunning scenery, warm tropical climate and natural hospitality of the Mauritian people.

Far East

According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Thailand has grown in popularity, as a wedding and honeymoon tourism destination in recent years, as you would expect from the land of smiles. For reasons such as Beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts, decadent spas and a warm welcome. Also the chance to explore Thailand’s ancient culture and heritage. Many honeymooning couples take advantage of opportunities to get active, with various watersports and even elephant trekking. Others take in the metropolitan buzz of Bangkok, its river and temples.

Indonesia

The most popular honeymoon destination in Indonesia is Bali, an island famed for its tranquil weather, dramatic sandy beaches and laid-back atmosphere.  There is a magazine dedicated to those who want to conduct their weddings or honeymoon in Bali, called Dream Wedding Bali Style.
