Here’s some fabulous hints and tips for your wedding day…
It’s fair to say mason jars have become increasingly popular and stylish drinking utensils, but we think they make great wedding decorations too once you jazz them up a bit. Our favourite way to use them is as vases, with a strip of lace to add some elegance, but we also love the idea of putting fairy lights in them as a safe and equally pretty alternative to using candles.
Chalkboards are no longer just for the classroom, they can be a brilliant way to add some personalisation to your wedding decorations. You could simply buy a plain chalkboard and write your table plan or a fun message to your guests. Or why not get even more creative and make your own table numbers, all you’ll need is some wooden shapes, chalkboard paint, and of course chalk!
Confetti cones are super simple to make, but are so effective and add a pretty touch to your decorations. We recommend using doilies as they’re inexpensive, but you could also use coloured paper to match your colour scheme, or why not recycle old newspapers, books, or sheet music. A nice touch would be to save a newspaper from the date of your engagement… or if you’re not that organised (which let’s be honest none of us are), any other significant date can work too! We love how they’ve been styled here in these rustic wicker baskets.
Hiring photo booths is an emerging wedding trend we love for 2017, but it’s also an expensive one so why not make your own? Set up a table with a polaroid camera (or even disposable cameras if you’re on a budget) and some props so you can have some cute and silly photos of your guests. To make the props simply print out some templates and attach to a wooden stick, simple as that! Take a look at these set ups and props that gave us the inspiration …
